Around the time of founding Rwebel Media, Javanna was calling herself an "artrepeneur," or one who enterprises through their art.
As a self-proclaimed "artrepreneur," Javanna founded "Rwebel Media" to further her goal of inspiring art appreciation and giving voice to underrepresented issues in the social sphere.
"Rwebel" derives from her "Rebellious Woman" blog that she started in 2017, and the first two letters of "Rwebel" pay homage to this blog's initials.
Really, this journey of "artrpreneurship" is a long time coming.
Unbeknownst to Javanna at first, this concept was impressed upon her at a young age. As children, Javanna and her siblings sold cookies at a flea market to raise money for movie tickets and other leisure activities.
This enterprising experience segued into Javanna starting several business ventures. Most recently, she self published two books: Mo's Mix and Mo's Mix: Queen-dom in 2015 .
Yet, Javanna never wanted to box herself in. Javanna started Rebellious Woman as a means of increasing engagement for her novels, and now she is using it as an anchor into "Rwebel" Media.
